Dennis Quaid and his estranged wife Kimberly Buffington-Quaid are reportedly calling off their divorce and getting back together again.
Although the couple filed for divorce in Nov. 2012, it has been reported that they have reconciled their differences. There is one major issue however, the couple has already signed all of the divorce documents, which means that the split will soon become official.
According to a celebrity divorce attorney, the couple’s next move will be based on whether or not a judge has already signed the divorce papers or not.
The attorney told the Huffington Post that, “If the judge did not sign the divorce order, then they can simply say they withdraw it, sign a stipulation to withdraw it and that’s the end of it. But if the judge did sign the order, they would have to go to court to get a new order to vacate the prior judgment of divorce.”
This is not the first time that the celebrity couple has separated and gotten back together. In Mar. 2012, Buffington-Quaid filed for divorce from the Vegas actor, but then withdrew the petition only two months later in May 2012.
The couple has 5-year-old twins and was married in July 2004.
Quaid was previously married twice before, first to the actress PJ Soles and after that to actress Meg Ryan.
